I provide all equipment and refreshments including lovely cake, throughout the workshops, but you will need to bring your own lunch if it is a full day or where specified.
Cancellations: If you need to cancel your booking, you can do so up to one week before the workshop date and receive a full refund. Alternatively, you may transfer to another available workshop date if there is a place available. For cancellations within seven days of the workshop, no refund will be given unless I am able to fill your place with another participant. If for any reason I need to cancel a workshop I will try to give you as much notice as possible depending on the circumstances. You will either be able to request a refund or, alternatively, you may choose to transfer your booking to a future date.

Full day Course 9.30 – 4.00 with half an hour break (please bring a packed lunch)
This is a complete introduction into acrylic paint. By the end of the day you will know how to mix and blend, about brushes and surfaces, different ways of applying the paint, and a variety of techniques. You will complete experimental squares to help you understand how to mix and blend, and how to get the best results from this lovely material. You will learn about composition and perspective and how to begin a piece of artwork without feeling overwhelmed.

Tuesday 11th March
Full day Course 9.30 – 4.00 with half an hour break (please bring a packed lunch)
Ever wondered how to use Oil pastels? Many creatives have bought them and do not know how to get the best out of them. Come and spend a day learning everything you need to know about this lovely media and how to get the best from them. They are more versatile than chalk or soft pastels and can give you detailed artwork as well as lovely abstracts. If you have any questions or want to know more please send me a message.

Full day Course 9.30 – 4.00 with half an hour break (please bring a packed lunch)
This is a complete introduction into acrylic inks. You will learn a variety of ways to use this wonderful material, either on their own in a fluid way, getting them to run and blend to create abstract pieces, or by using them with cling-film, salt, collage or just on their own in a precise, detailed way.
This is a 6 and a half hour session £85

Full day Course 9.30 – 4.00 with half an hour break (please bring a packed lunch)
This workshop is all about texture. You will create a finished landscape or Seascape or both depending on progress. You will use a variety of textured papers and wall-papers to create a collage, you will then bring these to life by using Acrylic Inks over the top! You will create a finished piece ready to mount and frame.
This is a 6 and a half hour session £85
All materials are included, as are refreshments and of course cake!

Full day Course 9.30 – 4.00 with half an hour break (please bring a packed lunch)
This workshop is all about texture and how to use a variety of texture pastes. You will create at least 2 finished pieces depending on progress. You will use a variety of texture pastes and gels and combine these with acrylics and acrylic Inks regular and pearlescent. See how they react with the different surfaces. You will create finished pieces ready to mount and frame.

10.00 – 12.00
Taught over two mornings with a week between, to give you time for a little practice in-between and a little bit of homework too!
This short little course will teach you how to add tone and value to your drawings to create form. You will learn how to start a drawing with hints and tips to make drawing easier. You will also learn how to use your pencils for shading and blending.
£20 per session (£40.00 total)

If there is a particular workshop that you are interested in and the day or time does not work for you, please get in touch and I can see if it is possible to rearrange. Like wise if you have a small group of friends who want to do something specific this can also be arranged!

This is a beginners workshop for those who want to have a go without feeling overwhelmed. A shorter session a smaller and more simple design to show you the basics with gentle teaching.

Learn how to create beautiful needle-felted snowdrops using British wool. You will be taught from an artist’s perspective how to ‘paint with wool’ in a step-by-step lesson. You will learn about the equipment and the process of needle felting, about composition, perspective, how to build up layers and fine details. You will be using barbed needles to produce a 12 cm square piece of art ready to be framed. This session is suitable for ages 16+ and for complete beginners.
This workshop was previously taught at RHS Rosemoor, so will be very similar if you have taken part before, however it is a slightly longer session with more individual teaching in a smaller group.
This is a 3 hour session £45
All materials included including refreshments and of course lovely cake!
This is an extended session compared to previous seashore workshops so there is more time to make complex designs with more details and lots more time to experiment with different materials!
If a simple seascape is preferred in a shorter session please get in touch : )

You will learn about the equipment and the process of needle felting, about composition, perspective, how to build up layers and fine details. You will be using barbed needles to produce a 15 cm square piece of art ready to be framed. This session is suitable for ages 16+ and for complete beginners.
This workshop was previously taught at RHS Rosemoor, so will be very similar if you have taken part before, however it is a longer session with more teaching around details and tones, with extra possibilities for lighthouses and boats etc.
I also teach a Seascape workshop which will be created from your own personal photographs, this is for more experienced needle-felters (please see below)
This is a 6 hour session £80

In this workshop you will create a Seascape working from your own photographs, this will give you a memorable piece of art which is unique and individual.

Learn how to create a beautiful needle-felted seascape using British wool from your own photographs. You will be taught from an artist’s perspective how to ‘paint with wool’. You will learn about the process of needle felting, about composition, perspective, how to build up layers and fine details. You will learn how to adapt your photo into a needle-felt, learning what to leave in and what to leave out. You will will be using barbed needles to produce approx 15 cm square or rectangle piece of art ready to be framed. This session is suitable for more experienced needle-felters.
This is a 6 and a half hour session £90

This one is all about experimenting with materials. You will learn how to needle felt with wool and a variety of other fibres including threads, sari silks, material, lace and other trimmings. You can let your imagination go wild and create a stunning piece of textile art inspired by the sea. No sewing involved, just barbed felting needles.

Monday 10th March
9.30 – 3.30
You will learn how to needle felt with wool, threads, and ribbons. Inspired by Ranunculus or even roses, this piece can be created in a colour of your choice. No sewing involved, just barbed felting needles.

Saturday 15th March

Learn how to create a beautiful needle-felted Long Wool sheep using British wool. You will be taught from an artist’s perspective how to ‘paint with wool’ in a step-by-step lesson. You will learn about the equipment and the process of needle felting, about composition, perspective, how to build up layers and fine details. You will learn how to create the features of a sheep from an artists perspective. I will teach you how to add tones and get those eyes looking realistic!
You will be using barbed needles to produce a 15 cm square piece of art ready to be framed. This session is suitable for ages 16+ and for complete beginners.

Learn how to create beautiful needle-felted flowers using British wool. You will be taught from an artist’s perspective how to ‘paint with wool’ in a step-by-step lesson. You will learn about the equipment and the process of needle felting, about composition and how to add tonal value to your work which will give your work depth. This piece lends itself to Hyacinths or lilac, which can be created in a choice of colours, giving your work individuality.
You will be using barbed needles to produce a 15 cm square piece of art ready to be framed. This session is suitable for ages 16+ and for beginners and for creatives who have previously needle-felted.
This is a 6 hour session £80

Learn how to needle-felt a beautiful winter landscape using British wool. You will be taught from an artist’s perspective how to ‘paint with wool’ in a step-by-step lesson. You will learn about the equipment and the process of needle felting, about composition, perspective, how to build up layers and fine details. I will teach you from the very beginning from planning your composition, to using perspective, and adding tones and details to the foreground.
You will be using barbed needles to produce a 15 cm square piece of art ready to be framed. This session is suitable for ages 16+ and for complete beginners
This will be a 5 hour session £70
All materials, refreshments, and of course lovely cake included. However, please bring a packed lunch as we will be having half an hour break mid way.
